Chris Blakley – Guitarist

Chris Blakley is an instrumental rock guitarist, composer, producer, teacher, performer and sound engineer.

Chris Blakley’s abilities as musical artist go well beyond just his stunning guitar skills. Chris is formally trained, has studied with several well-known professional guitarists, and holds an Associate’s Degree in Music. His deep understanding of music theory has enabled Chris to become a dynamic, stylistic and diverse composer. His keen compositional sense and distinct technique create instrumentals that speak to listeners and convey thoughts, emotions and imagery.

As well as headlining his own shows over the years, Chris has also opened for industry recognized bands such as Firehouse, Doro Pesch, Jake E. Lee, Billy Currington and BlessTheFall. His music also receives play on local radio stations. Chris also wrote the music for “Welcome to my Rave” for Zombie Shaker Box (winners of Las Vegas Battle of the Bands, 2009).

Chris is also a producer, and is the owner of Blakley Studios, where he wrote, recorded and produced his promotional demo CD using an analog tape machine. Chris’s extensive understanding of guitars, manufacturers, equipment and gear has been enhanced from his prior experience as the manager of the guitar and sound reinforcement division at a retail establishment.

Best known for his electric guitar skills, Chris is also a highly proficient acoustic and bass guitarist with years of expertise. Over eight hours per day are devoted to music. Whether performing, rehearsing, teaching, writing or recording, Chris is passionate about music and states “The most important thing about my music is that it is timeless. It will be around, long after I am gone”.
