In 1992, Mr. Cheng Kai-Lung was a film and TV director with a dream that reached beyond the spotlight. Despite having what many would call a glamorous career, he longed for something more meaningful. Driven by passion and purpose, he left the industry and started a humble tea street vendor business.

It wasn’t easy at first. But Mr. Cheng believed deeply that “when you have strong faith, big things happen.” With persistence and heart, his tea gained popularity—and just like that, the very first Sharetea store was born.
