Southwest Dance Company has been St. George’s exclusive children’s creative and modern dance studio for over 40 years. Since 1982, we’ve been dedicated to nurturing young dancers through thoughtfully designed, age-appropriate instruction in creative and modern dance.
Our experienced faculty brings decades of passion and expertise to every class, guiding each dancer through a progressive curriculum that grows with them. From their very first steps to more refined technique, students experience meaningful growth throughout the year—both as dancers and as individuals.
More Than Just Dance
Our classes focus on the whole child—physically, emotionally, and creatively. Through imaginative movement and exploration, dancers develop essential physical skills, build a strong dance vocabulary, and gain inspiration from the pioneers of modern dance.
By encouraging creativity and problem-solving in each class, we help students build confidence, social skills, and emotional awareness—all while having fun and learning through movement and artistic expression.
A Southern Utah Tradition
Each June, our annual dance concert showcases the progress and joy of our dancers. For over four decades, this beloved tradition has brought families and the community together to celebrate the hard work, growth, and artistry of our students. It’s a highlight of the year—and a moment of pride for every dancer.
